The Scarcity of Friendships

Only after I became the tomato slices, sandwiched and squashed merciless between two parties that I found the cause of all those office politics, back-stabbing and gossip mongering.

There are just simply not enough friendships cultivated in the office environment.

As easy as we identify the great divide between Dior and G2000, we simply cannot resist labelling people. People are looked up or down upon just by how they portray themself. It oftentimes, unfortunately, starts just from the first glance.

Cliques are formed, and within the isolated silos of the groupies, the other parties are often misunderstood and conversations and intentions miscommunicated.

I need to constantly remind myself, to see pass the faults and minor character blemishes and to focus more on the good they have. Oh simple things, but how weak the mind is.

I'm very thankful for some of the wonderful people I met in the office. Those who gave me so much support and advice. Kelvin, Thalia, Charlotte, Edward, Noelle... all of them have left or are leaving.

Special thanks to Su, for being there for me these hard few weeks and being the one that brightens me up.
