It takes two hands to clap… definitely!
Someone once asked me this question, “Would you prefer to be loved more, or to love someone more?” I remember quite clearly, without hesitation, my reply was, “I prefer to love someone more. Reason being, I know how good it feels to be loved and so I would want the person who I love to be loved more.” This however, comes with a condition.
No one in the world is a martyr that they can persevere their feelings positively, even when it isn’t reciprocated. [yes, not even Rando ;) ] You need two hands to clap.
Think about it… If you constantly show care and concern to someone and your good-will isn’t reciprocated, would you be able to continue? The truth is no … no one will. It will come to a point whereby you inevitably give up and refocus your efforts onto something else. This world operates on a very practical way. Even romance surrounds itself with at least a thin veil of practicality….
Does this only apply to all the Romeos and Juliets in the world? Unfortunately no. Friendship is a fragile thing too. When a friendship falls apart, it does no good to blame either party for not putting in effort etc. No point crying over spilt milk. When something fails, it isn’t the end. It’s just the opportunity for you to make things better. Hai!!! Ganbatte yo!!
I guess I’m too bored working at Media Ad, haha.. I need to think of weird things to keep myself genki!!! (can u even believe I thought of this all because my dear Sexy Nah commented that two Fish noodles stalls are side by side!)
Having too much time on my hands gives me the opportunity to self-reflect. I know circumstances have changed. I'm a sentimental person, i feel nostalgic of memories past.. BUT! I don't want things to be the same as they were last time. I see the past as one filled with childish joy and also of alot of childish friction. I've matured!!! Its definitely a relief to know what you want and see the path to take to achieve it.
i wish all of you out there the same. May the path to take be bright. Even if its not, hey buddy, you're not alone. I happen to like long walks. ^^ haha!
