Its always a conscious thing

“She can’t lie,” I can’t help but smile inwardly when I heard this comment.

No, I’m not the one being referred to. I am a liar. I admit. Such a good one sometimes that it even surprises me. I’m not adverse to lying, its just that I do not believe in not being able to lie.

How many Elizabeth Proctors are there in our community? Not many I would say. In fact, lying is an art. Some are extremely good liars, some are not and some are just part-time or should I say, circumstance liars. Roll out the grey carpet.

In anyway, I’ve been through a lot to strongly believe that in anything we do, there’s conscious effort put in. Everyone has a choice in their actions. Just like how I can choose to lie or tell the truth, I can choose in any situation to react or to act. In any case, everyone has a part to play in the outcomes.

So I take ownership of my life, the predicament I put myself into.
Now I just got to figure out the way to get myself out.
