The Meaning of Eejit
I've been reading many of Marian Keyes' books and being a Dublin born and bred, many terms used are colloquial.
One of the most frequently used word is "Eejit"
Now, my first impression of it is that its a hybrid between "midget" and "Idiot".. so in short,
Don't get me wrong.. i have nothing against midgets. Its just that short asians like me have this sterotype that ang mohs are tall.. n are proud to be tall. Therefore naturally, height deficiency is something negative.
Hereby, being the too-free-at-home-and-yet-procrastinates-to-do-spring-cleaning-girl that I am.. I rather spend my time surfing the net for the true meaning of "Eejit". I came across a very interesting list of Dublin colloquial slang. hoho.
