Jason Mraz LIVE in Singapore
Nick bought a pair of tickets to Jason Mraz's concert (5th March'09) as part of our celebrations for our 6th Anniversary. (Thanks ! So sweet of you)
The concert was nothing short of amazing.
The thing I love about Jason Mraz was that he has no airs about him. Throughout the concert, he introduced his band and made sure they shared the limelight with him. Also, he appeared on stage just as part of the band, no special treatment. He comes across as very sincere.
The concert was a simple affair. No frills, no special effects (if you consider some grobo lights), no 101 costume changes, no raising platforms, no exaggerated props. He didn't wayang like the chinese singers Jay Chou or Sammi etc.
Simple affair, fantastic vocals and focus on the people.
He sang non-stop save for a 3 min break throughout the one and half hours, belting out songs from his latest album "We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things" and some past favourites "Geek in the Pink", "Remedy", "Bella Luna" etc.
Fantastic concert. I'll definitely go to his next in Singapore.
