A Upper Level Room
Today I was on the way to meet Yuying when I suddenly remembered I forgot to buy pastries as I promised after I got on the train. Left in kind of a hurry and so forgot. Thinking I got sometime left, I dropped off at City Hall n grabbed some random bread.
It turned out I had underestimated how long the journey would take. I was at Redhill when she told me I’ll be very late. So ok, I got off and waited for a cab. I realized I spent almost all of my cash on the pastries with only 12 dollars left. After that I managed to dig out 2 dollars in coins so that makes 14. I’m not even sure I’ll be able to go Jurong with that amount.
I guess I was very lucky. After an agonizing wait of around 8 minutes or so, I got a cab. The bonus is that the cab driver drove super fast – exceeding the speed limit most of the time. I even contemplated tipping him if I reached there in one piece (only if I got money left over). All through the ride I was anxiously looking at the cab meter and the speed meter. Most adrenaline pumping ride I had in ages!
Lo and behold! The fare was $13.60. I’m so happy I gave him all $14 dollars (40 tips for getting me there in one piece without heart-attacks!) and jumped off. After I met her, I was feeling very happy until she said: “Punctuality is more important” after I showed her the food. (I was kinda happy I actually managed to keep both promises – we are late but not super late - but this comment felt like a stab in the heart.)
The start of the evening was quite strange. I’m not used to seeing so many people jumping ard and with their hands in the air. I guess I spent more time at the beginning checking out the surroundings, marveling at this bald guy handling the camera with such skill and surprised when I saw so many familiar places. I saw Rando’s ex there working as an usher. Then I started wondering, “aren’t all Christians supposed to be good? So why had she acted like a bitch to Rando.” I stood rather still and poised throughout the singing which is rather unbecoming of me – usually I cant seem to keep still (I think I’m just nervous).
The speaker was marvelous though. As he was going through the book, I got engrossed with the story and continued reading on while listening to him.

Rest, Communicate, Honor and to Seek Guidance
The talk got me thinking of many things. I just want to make sure I don’t regret the decision I make so I better consider it thoroughly. Yuying’s friends were very nice people. Much nicer compared to my traumatizing experience in secondary school through to JC. I only remembered a few names though. Pristine, Huiying, Kenneth, Jason, Tiffany. I was quite surprised when Pristine introduced herself saying “Hajimemashite. Watashi wa Pristine desu. Dozo yoroshiku onegaishimasu.” The string of Japanese was spoken so fast I almost couldn’t make out what she’s saying haha. My Japanese has rusted severely. Although I was looking around for a language school now, I haven’t found any yet! Her bullet speed Jap made me realise what a slacker I am. lol During our supper, I was having this interesting talk with Jason. He was telling me about his work which sounded really interesting when I was interrupted by nicky’s call. He’s here to pick me up!
We went for midnight movie! Brothers Grimm. Not very nice a movie. 2.5 stars!
